So we had a party. After the whirlwind of getting married, getting papers filed, getting ready for Burning Man, getting through a couple weeks on the playa, and getting unpacked from that adventure, it was a challenge to get ready for this. Thankfully my mom, stepfather and sister contributed a majority of their first hours in town to helping create a couple hundred delicious curry puffs and two beautiful Obsttorte. Meanwhile my brother and brother in law helped keep our stress level low and our style points high with a treat of a meal and the awesome Mr. and Mrs. hats we wore for the festivities. The fantastic green olives were from Bayview Pasta. The broccoli salad and mac n cheese from Catheads Barbecue. Our personal touch was Cookies for Humanity Shawna and Niko edition. We created it as our way of encouraging some interaction between guests and with our handmade hippy-dippy-hangy-thingy. It was fun to see the creative compositions evolve. "A romantic dinner always needs barf on shoes." and some good advice emerged. "Forgiveness for a stinky fart is the secret to a happy marriage." and "Marriage is a lot of petting the pussy and cleaning the litter box." We had tons of fun putting faces to names in full color and three dimensions, giving and receiving hugs and heartfelt congratulations. We are so happy and thankful that so many were able to make time to come and meet whichever of us was a stranger and leave with a new friend. There was so much chit chat and socializing that it was hard to get to the end of a story and it was great! Here's my story about burning m.. wait no a story about meeting Shaw.. wait no a story about how I came to San Franci.. wait no a story about our vacation to Death Vall.. wait no how about an introduction because we jus.. wait no.. Did I tell you that story already? Let's start some new stories together.
